You are investing in changing the life of a family.

2020 has been a challenging time for everyone. JAMLAC clients are some of the most vulnerable and most impacted people in our community.

Legal services are even more essential now! Help us fight injustice and provide much need legal services to those struggling with poverty and abuse.

We hope to continue thriving and growing as we move out of the COVID pandemic. In 2019, we made some significant additions to our program, including:

  • Launching a Pro Bono Project
  • Growing our services for children and asylum seekers
  • Increasing our Community Workshops
  • Adding two legal clinic sites
  • Hiring three new staff members
  • Expanding our office space
  • Most importantly, serving over 1,000 clients!

Join JAMLAC's vision as we continue to grow and empower families to thrive.

  • For those who don’t itemize their taxes (those who take the standard deduction) $300 in charitable contributions can be an above-the-line deduction on your 2020 taxes, meaning you don’t have to itemize to claim the deduction. Contributions must be cash donation(s) to qualified charities.
  • For those who do itemize… in 2020 you can deduct up to 100% of your adjusted gross income (AGI) for cash donations to qualified charities. The deduction was previously capped at 60% of AGI.

  • In 2020, corporations may increase their corporate tax deduction from 15% to 25% of taxable income.
