The Catholic Lawyers Guild, The Christian Legal Society, and The Justice and Mercy Legal Aid Center invite you to a CLE (ethics credit) on Faith and Access to Justice at the Justice and Mercy Legal Aid Center.
Networking happy hour following the speakers with food, wine, and beer from 5-6pm.

SPEAKERS:
Gregory Hobbs, Supreme Court Justice (Ret),
Gregory J. Hobbs Jr. is a former Associate Justice of the Colorado Supreme Court. A leading expert on Colorado water law, Justice Hobbs practiced environmental, land use, transportation, and water law for more than two decades before his appointment to the bench. Justice Hobbs conveys his expertise not only on the state's highest court, but also through his extensive publications, presentations, and professional and community service.
Steve Thompson, Executive Director, JAMLAC
Mr. Thompson is the Founder and Director of the Justice and Mercy Legal Aid Clinic (JAMLAC). Steve graduated from Denver Seminary in 1990 and from the University of Denver College of Law in 1997. He is a member of the Christian Legal Society of Metro Denver (CLSMD) where he currently serves as a board member. Steve’s practice focuses on the civil legal needs of domestic violence victims and other people who struggle with poverty and oppression.
Steve Thompson, Co-Founder, Director of JAMLAC, and Family Law Attorney, oversees our grants. He has 22 years of experience as an attorney, mostly in poverty law.
Shelly Dill, Pro Bono Director and Attorney, JAMLAC
Shelly has a passion for finding possibilities in times of chaos and empowering others to direct their own lives. She is deeply committed to helping people, particularly women, and is actively engaged in legal and non-legal community activities that promote dignity, self-sufficiency, and economic empowerment for all. More importantly, she lives her life to the fullest in the company of her two precious children!
Shelly received her J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law. She also holds an MA from American University’s School of International Service in Political Economy, an MA from the University of Kwa Zulu Natal in Economic Development, and a BA from Baylor University in International Relations. Furthermore, Shelly is an active member of multiple Bar associations in the State of Colorado. She is a long-time member and current Chair of the Denver Bar Association’s Access to Justice Committee.
